Solution:
The primary goal was to allow end users upload videos and provide access over the web. In order to manage this massive video repository and sharing we developed a unified global video watching facility for any platform. The key challenge was to enable huge files transfers in short time, guarantee cyber safety, and ensure fair trade of videos by restricting viewing for specified time only.
The videos uploaded can be in any format and this application should have the facility to play it online or download it as rent and purchase. The client also wanted to restrict users from sharing movies and to make it more secured for the video owners, we suggested and developed a packager to thus restrict sharing and also it featured a new concept of renting a movie online. Making it feasible for users to rent or purchase movies as downloads.
This application was developed using Microsoft .Net technologies.
The best architecture of ‘file manager’ an in-house component developed in Java, which makes uploading and downloa-ding process faster through a sFTP socket connection.
