| Job description: |
Administer all production database and support critical applications within enterprise and work as of part of the team delivering database related project services. Establish and maintain database standards and procedures, including backup and recovery procedures. Fault diagnosis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Perform upgrades and support activity - 24x7 on-call support. Interact with vendor technical support. Assist in planning, implementation, integration, and maintenance of h/w and s/w infrastructure.
Proactively participates in ITIL incident, problem, service level and change management process and procedures
Create and develop technical documentation as required

| Requirements: |
- Oracle 9iR2/10g experience on Linux and Windows platforms
- 3+ yrs experience with Linux administration
- Experience with database support software and procedures

Extensive experience with high volume OLTP database systems
-
Extensive UNIX shell scripting, PLSQL, and analytical SQL
- Experience with terabyte database
- Knowledge on data warehouse architecture and concepts
- Experience on high volume data analytics; environments with failover / high availability requirements is a plus
- MS SQL 2000/2005 experience a plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Leadership skills an advantage
